When to use a weekly tarot reading
A weekly reading suits the Sunday evening planning moment, when you look at the calendar and wonder how it will all fit. It also helps in weeks that stand out: a trip, a first week somewhere new, a stretch of exams or launches, or a week your monthly tarot spread flagged as one to watch. If you only want one card a day without planning ahead, the daily tarot is simpler.
Setting up your weekly reading
Take a quiet ten minutes, glance at your calendar and keep your question broad: the week as a whole rather than one event. If a single appointment worries you, ask about it separately with a three card tarot reading, so the seven daily cards stay free to speak about the whole week. Save a photo of the spread so you can check each card on its day.
How to read your week
- Look at all seven cards before reading any of them. Count the suits. Many Swords point to a week of thinking, talking and decisions. Pentacles lean practical: chores, work, home. Cups bring people and feelings forward, and Wands bring drive and new projects.
- Compare Monday with Friday. Together they show how the week opens and how it closes. Wednesday is the hinge between them, so read it as the moment to adjust course.
- A hard card on a given day is a reminder, not a warning. If the Ten of Wands sits on Thursday, plan less for Thursday. If the Five of Swords sits on Tuesday, choose your words with care that day.
- Use the weekend cards for rest. A Major Arcana card on Saturday or Sunday often asks you to step back and think about the bigger picture, not to fill the day.
- Check in each day. Look at that day's card for half a minute in the morning, then note in your journal each evening whether it fit. Look up any unfamiliar card in the tarot card meanings.

Questions
How do I do a weekly tarot reading?
Shuffle, hold your question in mind and pick seven cards, one for each day from Monday to Sunday. Read each card for its day, then look at the week as a whole.
When is the best time for a weekly tarot reading?
Sunday evening or Monday morning, before the week takes over. Drawing at the same time each week makes it easier to compare weeks later.
Is this weekly tarot reading free?
Yes. It is free, there is no sign-up, and the cards come from a fairly shuffled 78-card deck.
Can I draw one card for the whole week instead?
Yes. Draw a single card on Monday from the daily tarot page and keep it in mind as the theme of your week.
