Yes or no tarot
Yes or no tarot gives a one-card answer to a closed question: ask, shuffle and pick one card. You get a clear yes, no or maybe, and the reason the card leans that way.

How the yes or no answer is decided
Every one of the 78 cards has a leaning, based on its traditional meaning. Bright, open cards such as the Sun, the Star, the Ace of Cups or the Six of Wands lean yes. Cards of loss, conflict or deception such as the Tower, the Three of Swords or the Five of Cups lean no. Cards of waiting, choice or inner work such as the High Priestess, the Hanged Man or the Two of Swords lean maybe.
Reversed cards usually lean one step weaker: a yes becomes a maybe, a maybe becomes a no. A few hard cards soften when reversed, because the worst is passing. Every answer here comes with the reason behind it, so you can judge it yourself. Each card page lists its leaning upright and reversed.
One card or three cards?
One card is the classic yes or no draw: fast and clear. Three cards gives a more balanced answer: each card leans yes, no or maybe, the three leanings are added up, and the total decides. Use three cards when the question matters more, or when one card felt too blunt.
How to ask a yes or no question
Make it specific and about something that is still open: "Should I apply for the job this month?" rather than "Will my life get better?". Ask once, read the answer and the reason, and avoid redrawing until you get the answer you want; if you feel unsure, the three card reading gives you more to think about.

Yes no tarot table: all 78 cards and their answer
This is the full table our yes or no tarot uses, so you can check any card yourself. Upright, 48 cards lean yes, 15 lean maybe and 15 lean no. Reversed, the balance shifts: 0 yes, 64 maybe and 14 no. In other words, a single upright card says yes about 62% of the time, and with reversed cards switched on the overall chance of a yes is about 31%. Each card page explains its leaning.
Questions
How does yes no tarot work?
In yes no tarot you ask a question that can be answered yes or no and draw one card. Each of the 78 cards leans yes, no or maybe, upright and reversed, from its traditional meaning, and the reason is shown under the answer. With three cards, the three leanings are added up and the total decides.
Is yes or no tarot accurate?
The draw is random and fair, like a real shuffle. The answer is a prompt for reflection, not a guarantee. Read the reason under the answer and notice how you feel about it: that reaction is often the real answer.
Which tarot cards mean yes?
Strong yes cards include the Sun, the Star, the World, the Empress, the Magician, the Ace of Cups, the Ace of Pentacles, the Six of Wands, and the Nine and Ten of Cups.
Which tarot cards mean no?
Clear no cards include the Tower, the Devil, the Moon, the Three, Nine and Ten of Swords, and the Five of Cups.
Can I ask the same question twice?
You can, but redrawing until you get a yes defeats the purpose. If an answer surprises you, try the three-card version once and then sit with it.
Can tarot answer health, pregnancy or legal questions?
No. Please ask a doctor, a lawyer or another qualified person for those. The cards are for reflection only.
