Aries tarot reading for today

Aries in the tarot

In the Golden Dawn system that shaped the 1909 deck, Aries belongs to the Emperor, card IV. He sits on a stone throne carved with ram heads, the symbol of the sign, holding an orb and a scepter in front of bare red mountains. The card speaks of taking charge, setting a direction and building something that lasts. Many people link Aries with that same urge to go first, to start rather than wait, and to treat a blank day as ground to claim.

Aries is a Fire sign, and Fire in tarot is the suit of Wands: drive, ambition, fresh projects and the spark that gets them moving. Its ruling planet, Mars, corresponds to the Tower, a card of sudden change and broken patterns. Put together, the picture is of someone who meets the morning ready to act. A daily card can help an Aries aim that energy well. A Wands card may say go, a quieter card may ask for patience, and a reversed card can flag where haste might cost more than it saves.

How to read your daily card as Aries

Aries tends to read fast and act faster, so give the card one slow minute before deciding what it means. Ask what it says about where to put your energy today, not only whether to push ahead. If it shows rest or waiting, treat that as strategy rather than a stop sign.

This card is drawn for every Aries at once and changes at midnight. For a card that is yours alone, use the personal card of the day; for the astrology behind these pairings, read tarot and astrology.

Is Aries really your Sun sign? Check it against the Sun's position, or find your Moon and rising signs.
