Aquarius tarot reading for today

Aquarius in the tarot

Aquarius is the water bearer, and its Golden Dawn card, the Star, XVII, shows exactly that: a kneeling figure pouring water from two jugs, one stream into a pool and one onto the ground, under a great star and seven smaller ones. The card is about hope, ideals and a gift offered freely to everyone. Aquarius is often associated with the same outlook: an independent mind, a strong sense of community and a wish to picture a better future and help bring it closer.

Though its symbol carries water, Aquarius is an Air sign, so it shares the suit of Swords: ideas, conversation, truth and fresh perspectives. Its traditional ruler is Saturn, which corresponds to the World; modern astrology adds Uranus. An Aquarius day often has room for an unusual idea or a cause bigger than one person. The daily card can show where to pour your effort, and a reversed card may ask you to keep a little of that water for yourself.

How to read your daily card as Aquarius

Aquarius often reads a card from a distance, as a pattern or an idea. Try reading it up close too: what does it mean for you, today, in one real situation. Swords cards will speak to your thinking, and Cups cards to the feelings you may be filing away.

This card is drawn for every Aquarius at once and changes at midnight. For a card that is yours alone, use the personal card of the day; for the astrology behind these pairings, read tarot and astrology.
