Leo is matched with Strength, card VIII in the 1909 deck, through the Golden Dawn correspondences. A woman in white, a garland of flowers around her waist and an infinity sign above her head, calmly closes the jaws of a lion. The lion is the sign itself, and the lesson of the card is that real strength is gentle, patient and sure of itself. People often link Leo with warmth, courage, generosity and a natural pull toward center stage, and this card adds the grace that makes those gifts shine.
Leo is a Fire sign, so it shares the suit of Wands: creativity, passion, confidence and bold plans. Its ruler is the Sun, which has its own card, a bright scene of joy and success. A Leo day tends to go well when there is something to create or someone to cheer on. The daily card can show where to bring that glow, and a reversed card may point to a spot where pride or tiredness is dimming it.
How to read your daily card as Leo
Leo can read a card best by asking how it lets you lead with heart today. Look at the figures in the image and notice who is giving and who is receiving. If the card feels humbling, read it as the lion resting, not losing.
This card is drawn for every Leo at once and changes at midnight. For a card that is yours alone, use the personal card of the day; for the astrology behind these pairings, read tarot and astrology.
